Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
The short version
- We don't collect personal information through our games. None of them needs an account with us, and none sends us anything about you.
- Your progress stays on your device. Saves and settings live on your console, computer, phone or tablet. Cloud saves, trophies, achievements and leaderboards are run by your platform (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Apple, Google or YouTube) under its own privacy policy.
- Only one game shows adverts: the free phone and tablet versions of Wreck the World!. The ad companies it uses may collect device information. Personalised ads need your consent, and you can say no. Every other game and version has no adverts at all.
- Our children's games (Story Time and Capy Airlines) have no adverts, no in-app purchases and nothing that collects personal information.
- This website sets no cookies of its own, has no analytics and stores nothing in your browser.
Who we are
This website and our games are made and published by Booster Box Ltd, trading as Booster Box Games, an independent game studio in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). For UK data protection law, we're responsible for any personal information described here that we decide how to use.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and every Booster Box game on every platform it's released on:
- Breakworld: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC
- Slotline: Slot Car Incremental: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC
- One Button Arcade: PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
- Capy Airlines: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC
- Wreck the World!: PC, consoles, web browsers, YouTube Playables, Android, iPhone and iPad
- Bulletlujah!: PC
- Broken Arcade: PC and consoles
- Story Time: phones, tablets, PC and consoles
When a game comes to a new platform or gains a feature that handles information differently, we'll update its section here first.
What applies to all our games
Saves and settings stay on your device
Our games save your progress and settings on your own device: in the console's save data on PlayStation and Xbox, in files in your user folder on PC, or in the app's private storage on phones and tablets. Saves hold only game information, such as progress, unlocks, scores and settings. We never see them.
No accounts, no tracking from us
None of our games needs an account with us or asks for your name, email address or other contact details. We haven't added analytics or tracking to any of them, and none of them sends information to us.
Platform features
Some features are provided by the platform you play on. The platform holder handles that information under its own privacy policy, and we don't receive it:
- Cloud saves: PlayStation Plus cloud storage, Xbox cloud saves, Steam Cloud, iCloud and device backups may copy your save to the platform's servers.
- Trophies, achievements and Activities: when you earn one, the game tells your console, Steam, Game Center or Google Play Games, and the platform records it against your profile.
- Online leaderboards: in games with online leaderboards, your score is stored by the platform with your online ID and shown to other players. We can see leaderboards as other players do, but nothing more about you.
- Purchases: games and optional add-ons are bought through the platform's store, which handles payment. We never see your payment details.
The Unity engine
Our games are built with the Unity engine. We haven't switched on Unity's optional Analytics, Cloud Diagnostics or performance reporting. Even so, Unity builds may send Unity Technologies limited technical information about your device and the engine (such as device model, operating system, graphics hardware and crash details) to help it maintain the engine. Unity handles this under its own privacy policy.
Breakworld
Platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC.
Breakworld is a single-player, offline game. We do not collect, receive or store any personal information about you. It has no account system, no adverts, no analytics and no online play, and it sends nothing to us.
- On PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, it saves your progress and settings in the console's save data and system storage. If you subscribe to PlayStation Plus, the console may upload your save data to Sony's cloud storage, under Sony Interactive Entertainment's privacy policy.
- On PC, it saves to files in your user folder. If you play through Steam with Steam Cloud on, Steam may copy them to Valve's servers under Valve's privacy policy.
- What a save contains: only game information, such as the state of the world, your balls and upgrades, the story's progress, your settings (volumes, text size, controls and similar) and the trophies you've earned.
- Trophies, Activities and achievements: when you earn a trophy or progress through an Activity, the game tells your console, and Sony handles that information. On Steam, achievements work the same way through Valve.
Slotline: Slot Car Incremental
Platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC (Steam).
- Saves and settings stay on your console or computer, as described above.
- Online leaderboards on PlayStation 5: your best lap times are posted to PlayStation's leaderboards with your online ID, so other players can see them, and the game reads them back to show the rankings. Sony stores and runs these leaderboards.
- PlayStation 4 shows only your own best times, kept on your console. Nothing is posted online.
- On PC, the game uses Steam for achievements and Steam Cloud, under Valve's privacy policy.
- No adverts, no in-app purchases and no analytics.
One Button Arcade
Platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4.
- Saves and settings (scores, prize tickets, unlocks and options) stay on your console.
- Online leaderboards: each cabinet's high scores are posted to PlayStation's leaderboards with your online ID, so other players can see them. Sony stores and runs these leaderboards.
- Add-on cabinets are optional and bought through PlayStation Store. The game asks your console which add-ons you own so it can open them. Sony handles the purchase and payment.
- No adverts and no analytics.
Capy Airlines
Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC.
- Made for families, including children aged five and up playing alone.
- Saves and settings (your airport, airline name, plane colours and options) stay on your console or computer. The airline name you type stays in your save and is never sent to us.
- Trophies and achievements are recorded by PlayStation, Xbox or Steam as described above.
- No online play, no adverts, no in-app purchases and no analytics.
Wreck the World!
Platforms: PC, consoles, web browsers, YouTube Playables, Android, iPhone and iPad. What happens depends on where you play.
PC and consoles
No adverts, no account and no analytics or advertising code. Your save and settings stay on your computer or console. If you play through a store such as Steam, PlayStation or Xbox, that store's privacy policy covers your account and purchase.
Web browsers
No adverts and no analytics or advertising code. Your save is kept in your browser's local storage (under the key wreck-the-world-save) and settings in your browser's storage, and neither is sent to us. The website hosting the game may collect its own data under its own policy. The game page also loads YouTube's Playables script so the same build can run inside YouTube, which means your browser contacts YouTube's servers.
YouTube Playables
When you play inside YouTube, your save is stored by YouTube so you can carry on later, and the game sends YouTube one number, your all-time total of blocks destroyed, which YouTube may show as your score. The game listens for YouTube's pause, resume and sound signals but doesn't store them. YouTube may show its own adverts around Playables. Google's privacy policy covers all of this.
Android, iPhone and iPad: adverts
The phone and tablet versions are free and show adverts to pay for development:
- Rewarded ads are optional: after a job you can choose to watch one to boost your pay.
- Interstitial ads appear occasionally between jobs, never during play, and new players don't see them.
Adverts are delivered by Unity LevelPlay, which chooses each advert from its partner networks: currently ironSource Ads and Unity Ads (both run by Unity) and Google AdMob. We'll list any other network here before it's added.
To show adverts, the ad companies' code in the app may collect and process:
- your device's advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or on iPhone and iPad Apple's IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and other device or app identifiers used for things like limiting repeats and preventing fraud;
- your IP address, and an approximate location worked out from it (country or city, not GPS);
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language, screen size, network type and app version;
- advert interaction data, such as which adverts were requested, shown, watched, clicked or skipped.
They use this to deliver adverts, limit how often you see the same one, measure performance, prevent fraud and, only where you've consented, show personalised adverts. We don't receive your advertising ID or anything else that identifies you. We only see combined reports, such as how many adverts were shown and what they earned.
Your choices:
- Consent (UK, EEA and Switzerland): before any advert is requested, the app shows Google's consent message. If you decline, you may still see adverts, but they won't be personalised. Change your choice any time in Options > Privacy Choices.
- iPhone and iPad: Apple's "Allow tracking?" question is asked once, before any advert. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, your IDFA isn't shared with anyone. Change it later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings.
- No adverts at all: play the PC, console or web version.
Game Center and Google Play Games
The phone and tablet versions can record your achievements with Game Center (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play Games (Android). The game signs you in quietly if you already use the service, and tells Apple or Google which achievement you unlocked. They handle your profile (nickname, avatar, friends and achievement history) under their own privacy policies. We don't receive your name, email address or account details. It's optional: switch it off in your device settings and your achievements are still kept in the game.
Bulletlujah!
Platform: PC.
- A single-player, offline game. Your save and settings stay on your computer.
- If you play through Steam, Valve handles your account, purchase, achievements and Steam Cloud under its privacy policy.
- No adverts, no account and no analytics.
Broken Arcade
Platforms: PC and consoles.
- Saves, settings and high-score tables are kept on your device.
- Platform leaderboards and achievements: where the game uses your platform's own leaderboards or achievements, they work as described in What applies to all our games: your score and online ID are stored by the platform and shown to other players.
- No adverts, no account and no analytics.
Story Time
Platforms: phones, tablets, PC and consoles. Made for children aged 3 to 8.
- Nothing about your child leaves the device. Progress, the stories you've watched, game scores and settings are saved on the device only.
- No adverts and no in-app purchases. You pay once.
- No accounts, no analytics and no internet needed to play. The game doesn't use the microphone or camera and doesn't link out to websites.
- A parent gate keeps grown-up settings away from small hands.
- The app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play) and console stores handle downloads and purchases under their own privacy policies.
This website
No cookies, analytics or tracking from us. The site doesn't set cookies of its own, doesn't use analytics or advertising tools, and doesn't store anything in your browser. The little "throw a ball" game on the Breakworld page runs entirely in your browser and saves nothing.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details (such as the page requested, time and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. It may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check for malicious traffic.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers, which see your IP address and browser details.
Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and follow up, and keep it only as long as we need it for that.
Links to other sites, such as stores or our games' own websites, are covered by those sites' policies.
Children
Story Time and Capy Airlines are made for children, and children may play our other games too. None of our games asks for personal information, and we don't knowingly collect it from anyone, including children. Our children's games show no adverts and have no in-app purchases. The only game with adverts, the phone and tablet versions of Wreck the World!, is not made for young children. If you think a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Legal bases
Under UK and EU data protection law we rely on:
- Legitimate interests for storing saves and settings on your device so our games work, for delivering and securing this website, for replying to your messages, and for non-personalised adverts in Wreck the World!'s phone and tablet versions (including limiting repeats, measurement and fraud prevention).
- Consent for personalised adverts and tracking in Wreck the World!'s phone and tablet versions. You can withdraw it at any time (see your choices).
Third parties
We don't sell personal information. These companies may handle information when you use this website or play our games, each under its own privacy policy:
- Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation: trophies, Activities, cloud saves, leaderboards, PlayStation Store): see the privacy policy for your region on playstation.com
- Microsoft (Xbox): privacy.microsoft.com
- Valve (Steam): store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement
- Apple (App Store, Game Center, App Tracking Transparency): apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google (Google Play, Google Play Games, AdMob, the consent message, YouTube Playables, Google Fonts): policies.google.com/privacy
- Unity Technologies (the Unity engine; LevelPlay, ironSource Ads and Unity Ads in Wreck the World!'s phone and tablet versions): Game Player and App User Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare (website hosting): cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
These companies operate worldwide, so information they process may be handled outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international transfers. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. In practice the only personal information we might hold is an email you've sent us. For information held by a platform or ad company, use the settings and contacts in their privacy policies above. You can delete everything our games store by deleting the game's save data or uninstalling it.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how a game or this website handles information, for example when a game comes to a new platform or gains an online feature, we'll update this page before the change takes effect and change the date at the top.
